    A Point to Ponder
February 12 is our next “Communion Sunday”, so this week is one of spiritual reflection and self-examination. Paul explains how God “made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions” (Ephesians 2:5). Dr R C Sproul notes: “God just doesn't throw a life preserver to a drowning person. He goes to the bottom of the sea, and pulls a corpse from the bottom of the sea, takes him up on the bank, breathes into him the breath of life and makes him alive.” If we confess and repent of our sins, and trust Jesus as our Savior, we may come “with full expectation to God’s open house of mercy”. The life that is truly life (I Timothy 6:19) is a result of God’s grace in Christ. Pastor Jim.

Thank you to all the members that attended the Congregational Meeting. Everyone’s voice is valuable to help build a strong Christian church. May God bless this congregation as we continue to grow in all aspects of Christian faith.

Serve Trip Prayer Partners: a big thank you to those who signed up! Please submit any letters or notes of encouragement you may have for the youth on the trip to Annalisa by February 12th.

Serve Trip: please ensure that you have a passport that will not expire within the next 6 months.

Volunteers needed!!! This year our church is hosting the Southern Alberta GEMS Rally which will be on March 31st. We are expecting approximately 120 girls for the day so we need some help! If you are interested in helping out in the kitchen (preparing lunch and snack/coffee), leading worship, games, registration or bringing baked goods, please call Lindsey at 654-4697
