    A Point to Ponder
Today we celebrate Pentecost, the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the early followers of Jesus. The Spirit of the living God continues to lead and guide believers today, and one of the primary means He uses is the Holy Bible. The Bible has been referred to as ¡§a window in this prison-world, through which we may look into eternity¡¨. Someone else has noted that ¡§people do not reject the Bible because it contradicts itself, but because it contradicts them¡¨. J.C. Ryle wrote: ¡§The dark ages of Christendom were times when the Bible was kept back from the people. The Protestant Reformation was mainly affected by translating and circulating the Bible.¡¨ As children, some of us used to sing: ¡§Read your Bible, pray every day, and you¡¦ll grow, grow, grow¡¨. Are we following that simple advice? Pentecost Sunday is a very fitting time to rededicate ourselves to the Word of God and the God of the Word. Pastor Jim.

Friendship Group: For the last meeting of the season the Friendship Group will meet Monday, May 12th at the Bowling Alley at 7.00pm.A big thank you to Janny and Henk for sponsoring us!

There is one seat available yet on the 47 passenger bus to Rosebud Theatre on July 9. If you are still interested in going, please talk to Pastor Jim as soon as possible. We might be able to charter a 56 passenger bus.

Floor Hockey: There is pick up floor hockey at the Taber Christian School which, will go from 7:30 - 9:00 pm on Monday nights. The fee will be $2.00 per player to cover rental costs.
